Background & Challenge
The 1,950 km Niger-Benin Crude Oil Pipeline connects Niger’s Agadem oilfields to Benin’s Sèmé Port, but its remote desert route creates serious security, access, and maintenance challenges.
Solution
Gato deployed 11 F7 fiber optic early warning systems, covering about 1 km per station. The system supports real-time intrusion location, rodent-resistant cables, low maintenance, centralized monitoring, and passive explosion-proof protection.
