F5 Zone-type Vibration Fiber Optic Solution

The F5 system is a zone-type vibration fiber optic intrusion detection solution based on an embedded Linux platform. It is composed of the F5 fiber optic host, communication fiber cable, sensing fiber cable, zone relay boxes, and zone terminal boxes. The system uses fiber optic vibration sensing to detect motion, vibration, and pressure changes along protected fences, walls, and barrier structures, then triggers zone-based alarms for security response.

How It Works

F5 applies the photoelastic effect of optical fiber vibration sensing. A laser signal is transmitted through the communication fiber to the sensing fiber. When external vibration, pressure, or movement affects the sensing cable, the optical phase changes. The returned optical signal is reflected through the zone terminal box and sent back to the host through the communication fiber. The host analyzes the signal and triggers the corresponding zone alarm.
