F5 Zone-type Vibration Fiber Optic Solution
The F5 system is a zone-type vibration fiber optic intrusion detection solution based on an embedded Linux platform. It is composed of the F5 fiber optic host, communication fiber cable, sensing fiber cable, zone relay boxes, and zone terminal boxes. The system uses fiber optic vibration sensing to detect motion, vibration, and pressure changes along protected fences, walls, and barrier structures, then triggers zone-based alarms for security response.
- Zone-based Fiber Optic Detection: Supports 1-16 fiber optic defense zones for segmented perimeter protection and clear alarm location by zone.
- Fast Alarm Response: Intrusion alarms respond within 1 second, and fiber break alarms respond within 1 second.
- Reliable Embedded Platform: Customized embedded Linux system and industrial-grade chips enhance stability, safety, and low-power operation.
- Visual Browser Management: B/S architecture supports map configuration, zone drawing, alarm color change, event records, statistics, and remote multi-user access.
- Rich Integration Interfaces: Supports RS485, RJ45 Ethernet, alarm input, switch output, USB 3.0, DP, and audio interfaces for external devices and platform integration.
- Fiber Break Monitoring: Supports communication fiber and sensing fiber break alarms to improve system maintainability.
Core Strengths

Embedded Linux Design
Stable, secure, and low-power operation with industrial-grade dedicated chips.

Zone-based Alarm Management
Up to 16 fiber optic zones help operators identify the affected perimeter section quickly.

Visual Alarm Platform
Electronic maps, zone drawing, alarm color change, event records, and graphical statistics improve dispatch efficiency.

Flexible External Linkage
RS485, alarm inputs/outputs, DC12V power output, network ports, USB, audio, and display interfaces support third-party device connection.
How It Works
F5 applies the photoelastic effect of optical fiber vibration sensing. A laser signal is transmitted through the communication fiber to the sensing fiber. When external vibration, pressure, or movement affects the sensing cable, the optical phase changes. The returned optical signal is reflected through the zone terminal box and sent back to the host through the communication fiber. The host analyzes the signal and triggers the corresponding zone alarm.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a zone-type vibration fiber optic intrusion detection system?
It is a perimeter security system that uses sensing fiber cable to detect vibration and pressure changes, then reports alarms by configured defense zones.
How many zones does the F5 system support?
The F5 host supports up to 16 fiber optic defense zones, helping users divide a perimeter into manageable alarm sections.
What intrusion behaviors can F5 help detect?
F5 is suitable for detecting fence shaking, climbing, cutting-related vibration, crossing attempts, and other physical disturbance events on protected barriers.
Can F5 be managed remotely?
Yes. The system uses a B/S browser-based architecture, allowing multi-user remote management through a browser.
Does F5 support alarm records and map display?
Yes. It supports electronic map configuration, zone drawing, alarm color change, alarm record query, export, and graphical statistics by position, time, and date.
What installation scenarios are supported?
F5 can be adapted to buried underground installations, elastic mesh fences, rigid iron fences, razor wire, concrete walls, and other perimeter structures with appropriate sensing cable installation methods.
